The export surge was led by finished motor gasoline, which jumped 139% to 3.14 million barrels, alongside significant gains in jet fuel and distillates. While finished product exports reached record territory, crude oil production remained steady, marking its 11th consecutive month of year-over-year growth at 146.185 million barrels.
Direct shipments to the U.S. via pipeline rose 8.8% annually, while marine exports to Asian and European markets spiked by 46.6%. Despite the high export volumes, domestic production figures were mixed: gasoline and distillate production saw monthly declines of 8% and 11.4% respectively, even as jet fuel production climbed to 4.172 million barrels. Statistics Canada data confirms that inventory levels remain tight, with distillate stocks falling 4.8% during the month.
