Curtiss-Wright Commits $80 Million to Cheswick Manufacturing Expansion

The expansion centers on the construction of two dedicated facilities designed to augment manufacturing and testing capacity for motor pumps, generators, and control rod drive mechanisms. By integrating internal capital with state support and federal maritime industrial base grants, the company aims to modernize its production line for the defense and energy sectors.

Chief Executive Lynn Bamford cited the administration’s accelerated naval shipbuilding funding as a primary driver for the site’s growth. Beyond the physical footprint, the project is set to generate 150 permanent jobs over the next three years. Work at the Cheswick site commenced earlier in 2025, positioning the facility to handle a more robust pipeline of naval and nuclear contracts.
