Frontier Airlines Offloads 11 Airbus Jets to Avolon

The delivery schedule for these jets spans several years, with three aircraft slated to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2024 and the remaining eight expected throughout the first half of 2027. Frontier is offloading the planes at current market rates, an accounting move that accounts for anticipated transition and remarketing expenses.

This divestment is a central component of the airline’s broader effort to right-size its operations. Following the sale, Frontier anticipates taking delivery of 22 new planes this year, positioning the company to finish 2026 with a total fleet of 171 aircraft.
