Osaka Organic Chemical Industry reported a significant jump in profitability for the half-year ending May 31, with net profit climbing to 3.09 billion yen compared to 2.13 billion yen in the same period last year, as the firm capitalized on a substantial rise in total revenue.

The Tokyo-listed chemical manufacturer saw its revenue expand to 20.03 billion yen from 17.40 billion yen a year prior. This growth in top-line performance filtered down to operating profit, which reached 4.42 billion yen, up from 2.92 billion yen. Pretax profit followed a similar upward trajectory, hitting 4.60 billion yen against 3.04 billion yen in 2025. Diluted earnings per share climbed to 151.76 yen, marking a sharp increase from the 103.71 yen recorded during the previous interval. These financial outcomes were calculated according to Japanese accounting standards.
