Bowen, 53, officially assumes the role on July 10. Her arrival follows the immediate departure of Gandler, who has stepped down from both his executive position and the company board. The transition comes as FuboTV seeks to refine its content strategy and push toward sustained profitability in an increasingly crowded media market.
Before joining FuboTV, Bowen spent nearly a decade at Disney, where she served as president of Disney+ and played a foundational role in the scaling of Hulu and ESPN+. Her compensation package includes an annual base salary of $1.6 million, coupled with a performance bonus target set at 120% of that figure. Beyond her Disney tenure, she has held executive leadership roles at News Corp, Dow Jones, and Thomson Reuters. FuboTV expects to appoint Bowen to the board of directors following formal approval.
