Revolut X Opens Crypto Trading to Third-Party AI Assistants

Revolut has integrated its standalone exchange, Revolut X, with third-party AI platforms, enabling users to manage portfolios and prepare trades via natural-language prompts. While the move streamlines market analysis and order creation, the company maintains a strict requirement for human verification before any transaction is executed on the platform.

The integration supports major AI tools including Claude, Gemini, OpenClaw, and Cursor, alongside a universal plugin for other compatible interfaces. By connecting these assistants to the Revolut X API, traders can retrieve live market data, monitor account balances, and backtest strategies, such as Bitcoin grid performance, without navigating the exchange’s primary dashboard. Leonid Bashlykov, head of crypto product, noted that these agents facilitate faster workflows and more precise execution for active participants.

Despite the automation, Revolut emphasizes that it does not endorse or guarantee the reliability of third-party AI systems. The company explicitly disclaims liability for financial losses or errors stemming from faulty AI output, such as hallucinations or incorrect calculations. Furthermore, users must manage their own cryptographic keys locally, as unauthorized access to these credentials could grant third parties full control over connected accounts. This shift positions Revolut among a growing cohort of exchanges, including Gemini, Coinbase, and Robinhood, that are embracing agentic trading to capture retail interest in AI-assisted finance.
