The proposed contract, which would retroactively take effect from April 1, now heads to a membership vote. Air Canada expects the ratification process to conclude within the coming days. Should union members approve the terms, it will mark the airline’s sixth collective agreement reached this year.
This latest development follows a June deal with Unifor, which secured terms for 6,000 employees including customer relations and concierge staff. By finalizing this agreement, the airline continues to clear its labor backlog, aiming to solidify its operational workforce after a series of negotiations across various sectors of the company.
