This top-line growth filtered down effectively to the bottom line, with operating profit rising to 6.77 billion yen compared to 4.21 billion yen previously. Pretax profit also saw a significant jump, more than doubling to 6.13 billion yen from 2.96 billion yen. Driven by these gains, per-share earnings reached 155.86 yen, a marked increase over the 82.82 yen reported in the prior year.
