PJT Partners Appoints Arun Kalra as Chief Financial Officer

After a decade of stability in its financial leadership, PJT Partners is turning to internal talent to guide its next phase. The firm announced Thursday that Arun Kalra will take over as chief financial officer on October 1, stepping into a role long defined by his predecessor, Helen Meates.

Kalra, 38, currently serves as the firm’s director of finance. His promotion follows an eight-year trajectory at PJT, where he originally joined in 2016 to lead financial planning and analysis. Before moving to PJT, he held a senior position on the compensation team at UBS.

Meates will remain with the company through the end of the year to facilitate the transition. Having served as CFO for over ten years, she has worked closely with Kalra, who has been groomed for the succession through his ongoing collaboration with her on the firm's financial operations.
