Orvana Minerals Resumes Bolivia Operations After Logistics Delays

Bolivian road blockades and civil unrest finally abating, Toronto-based Orvana Minerals is moving to restart oxide ore processing within days. The company confirmed it has finalized all necessary preparations, aiming to stabilize output across its dual portfolio of mining assets in South America and northern Spain.

Orvana Minerals Resumes Bolivia Operations After Logistics Delays

The resumption marks a recovery for the miner after logistics disruptions crippled its local supply chain and forced a postponement of the oxides stockpile project. During the fiscal third quarter, those blockades left the company’s Spanish operation, Oravalle, as the sole contributor to its production tally. Oravalle delivered 10,008 gold-equivalent ounces during that period, keeping the company afloat while its Bolivian assets remained dormant.

Total production for the quarter reached 10,833 gold-equivalent ounces, a figure comprised of 9,656 troy ounces of gold, 640,000 pounds of copper, and 19,487 ounces of silver. With the Bolivian site now cleared for continuous processing, management expects to restore a unified production schedule across both international regions.
