John B. Sanfilippo & Son Appoints Jasper Sanfilippo Jr. as CEO

Jasper Sanfilippo Jr., currently serving as the company’s president and chief operating officer, will take the helm from Jeffrey Sanfilippo. Following the handoff, Jeffrey Sanfilippo will shift into the role of executive chairman to maintain his leadership of the board. The company also announced that Frank Pellegrino, the current executive vice president and chief financial officer, will ascend to the position of president.

Jeffrey Sanfilippo cited the incoming CEO’s operational expertise and strategic track record as primary drivers for the promotion. Regarding Pellegrino, who has been with the organization for nearly two decades, the outgoing CEO noted that the move is designed to better align the company’s financial and operational objectives.
