Strategy Beefs Up Cash Reserves via $263.5M Stock Sale

Strategy bolstered its dollar reserves by $263.5 million this week, selling 2,732,318 shares of its common stock while leaving its massive Bitcoin hoard untouched. The move marks a second consecutive week of equity-driven fundraising as the company prioritizes liquidity for dividend and debt obligations.

Strategy Beefs Up Cash Reserves via $263.5M Stock Sale

The capital injection, finalized between July 13 and July 19, pushes Strategy’s U.S. dollar reserve to $3.225 billion. Despite this influx of cash, the company’s Bitcoin holdings remain steady at 843,775 BTC. These assets were acquired at an average cost of $75,476 per coin, representing a total investment of roughly $63.69 billion. No further Bitcoin purchases or sales were reported during this period, signaling a pivot toward common equity as a primary funding vehicle.

This latest raise follows a $466.7 million stock sale completed the previous week, bringing the total cash reserve growth to $675 million since early July. With approximately $23.53 billion in capacity remaining under its at-the-market program, Strategy maintains significant room for future financing. Meanwhile, investors remain focused on the performance of the company’s preferred stock, specifically the STRC series, which continues to trade below its $100 reference value. Analysts like Khing Oei have cautioned against over-relying on current headline yields, urging market participants to look deeper at the firm’s long-term cash flow sustainability and ability to meet its dividend commitments.
