While the first quarter delivered robust growth, momentum slowed in the second quarter as regional instability and broader geopolitical uncertainty weighed on operations. Despite these frictions, airlines and passengers maintained steady activity across the network.
Growth was particularly pronounced in the Asia Pacific region, which saw a 7.9% increase, while North American routes rose by 1.6%. The airport also benefited from a 5.4% uptick in connecting passengers, alongside the deployment of larger aircraft and the introduction of new routes that bolstered overall capacity. The airport is currently held by a consortium including the Qatar Investment Authority and China Investment Corp.
