Mallory Triano, Millennium’s global head of campus recruiting, notes that the firm is prioritizing "native AI fluency" as a strategic imperative. While peers across Wall Street are increasingly seeking AI-literate candidates, Millennium stands out by formalizing a specific pathway for these specialists. The firm’s internship program has seen rapid expansion, doubling its headcount to over 200 participants since 2023.

Candidates for the AI track distinguish themselves through tangible project experience rather than theoretical knowledge. According to Triano, the firm evaluates applicants on their ability to solve real-world problems and exercise sound judgment when deploying technology. Once hired, these interns function as junior staff members rather than observers, tasked with reimagining existing workflows and identifying new use cases for AI tools. With the program serving as the primary pipeline for full-time analyst roles, the firm is also preparing to launch an investment-focused internship for graduating seniors next summer, spanning three global locations.
