Adjusted earnings reached $3.73 per share, eclipsing the $3.69 consensus forecast from FactSet analysts. Revenue climbed 5% to $3.35 billion, buoyed by a 6% gain in fleet management and an 8% rise in supply chain solutions revenue. While dedicated transportation revenue dipped 1%, the overall financial performance suggests a resilient customer base.
Chief Executive John Diez attributed the growth to improved market conditions and strong customer confidence, which accelerated contractual sales activity. Bolstered by these results, the company tightened its full-year guidance, raising the lower bound of its adjusted earnings per share outlook to a range of $14.40 to $14.80. For the upcoming third quarter, Ryder projects adjusted earnings between $4 and $4.20 per share, tracking closely with analyst predictions of $4.18.
