Crypto Markets Brace for $77 Million Token Influx on August 1

A combined $77.07 million in BEAT, EIGEN, and ZETA tokens is set to hit circulation on August 1, triggering concerns over potential sell-side pressure. While the market prepares for the influx, the three assets exhibit starkly different price behaviors leading up to their respective release times.

Crypto Markets Brace for $77 Million Token Influx on August 1

BEAT leads the pack with a significant supply shock, as 21.25 million tokens—valued at approximately $67.78 million—are scheduled for release by Audiera. Despite a 32.1% rally over the past week, the token has already begun to retreat from its highs, trading near $3.16. The scale of this unlock is substantial, representing nearly 1.8 times the token's current daily turnover. While Audiera has actively burned tokens to manage supply, the upcoming release dwarfs recent burn rates by a factor of 26.7, leaving a potential surplus of 20 million tokens that may weigh on the market.

EIGEN and ZETA face a more bearish environment heading into their releases. EIGEN has dropped 12.6% over the last seven days, with its $7.87 million release expected to enter circulation amidst cooling demand. Similarly, ZETA has shed 9% of its value, with 44.43 million tokens poised to hit the market. For U.S.-based participants, these events will unfold throughout July 31, with ZETA’s release occurring at noon EDT, followed by EIGEN at 5 p.m. and BEAT at 9 p.m. While these figures represent fixed supply increases, the actual impact on price remains contingent on whether recipients choose to stake, hold, or immediately liquidate their allocations on exchanges.
