TransUnion Shares Climb on Upgraded Fiscal Outlook

Investors pushed TransUnion shares up more than 10% to $85.35 following a strong second-quarter earnings report. The consumer credit reporting agency exceeded analyst expectations for both sales and profit, prompting leadership to raise their fiscal 2026 revenue and earnings guidance for the coming years.

TransUnion Shares Climb on Upgraded Fiscal Outlook

Net income for the second quarter hit $143.4 million, or 74 cents a share, a notable increase from the $109.6 million reported during the same period last year. Adjusted earnings reached $1.23 per share, comfortably surpassing the $1.16 consensus estimate from FactSet analysts. Revenue climbed 15% to $1.31 billion, again outperforming market projections of $1.28 billion.

Chief Executive Chris Cartwright attributed the gains to robust performance in U.S. financial services and emerging verticals. Looking forward, the company adjusted its fiscal 2026 revenue target to a range of $5.13 billion to $5.16 billion, while earnings per share are now expected to land between $4.15 and $4.22. Despite this optimism, the company’s forecast for the third quarter—revenue between $1.29 billion and $1.31 billion—remains slightly more conservative than the 74-cent earnings per share target currently anticipated by Wall Street analysts.
