OpenSea CMO Adam Hollander Steps Down After 18-Month Tenure

Hollander, who joined the NFT marketplace in early 2025, emphasized that his decision followed discussions with co-founder and CEO Devin Finzer. While stepping away from his daily operational duties, Hollander intends to remain connected to the platform as both a user and an informal adviser. He expressed confidence in the current product roadmap, noting that upcoming releases will still bear his influence despite his departure.

During his tenure, Hollander oversaw a period of significant strategic pivot for OpenSea as it moved beyond its core NFT business to explore on-chain derivatives and perpetual futures. His marketing team was instrumental in steering this transition, including the integration of Hyperliquid’s infrastructure for new trading products. Finzer publicly thanked Hollander for his contributions, stating that the company remains committed to its broader "trade everything" vision, which aims to unify digital assets, tokens, and derivatives within a single ecosystem.
