Ankr Deploys Global Node Infrastructure for XRP Ledger

The XRP Ledger Foundation has partnered with Ankr to launch a suite of globally distributed public nodes, streamlining network access for developers. By providing free mainnet and testnet JSON-RPC endpoints across four continents, the initiative aims to lower entry barriers for builders ahead of the upcoming v3.3.0 software release.

Ankr Deploys Global Node Infrastructure for XRP Ledger

Developers can now interact with the XRP Ledger without the overhead of maintaining local infrastructure. The new portal, featuring nodes in Singapore, New York, Amsterdam, and San Francisco, automatically routes traffic to the optimal location to minimize latency. While the current service prioritizes real-time network access, validator Vet confirmed that full-history ledger data will be integrated in a future update.

This infrastructure expansion arrives as the ecosystem prepares for five major amendments in the v3.3.0 release, including Confidential MPT for privacy and Permission Delegation for institutional use. These proposals require 80% consensus from trusted validators over two weeks to reach activation. Despite the technical milestone, XRP price action remained stable, trading near $1.08 with a modest uptick in daily volume to $1.03 billion. While public endpoints simplify development for wallets and applications, industry participants maintain that high-security financial services may still require the direct control provided by independently operated nodes.
