Binance Expands Ripple USD Rewards with 1M XRP Campaign

Binance has launched a second consecutive promotional push for Ripple USD, pledging a total pool of one million XRP to participants through September 11. The campaign, which follows a previous month-long incentive program, aims to deepen liquidity for the stablecoin by rewarding users who maintain specific holdings and trading activity.

Binance Expands Ripple USD Rewards with 1M XRP Campaign

The four-week program began on August 14 and will distribute rewards in weekly installments every Friday, starting August 21. To qualify, users must maintain a minimum balance of 0.01 RLUSD in eligible Earn or Margin accounts while recording at least $500 in average daily trading volume on Margin or Futures pairs. Unlike the previous iteration, which offered a fixed dollar-denominated reward, this campaign distributes a set quantity of XRP, meaning the final payout value will fluctuate based on market prices at the time of each distribution.

Binance applies specific accounting rules to determine qualifying balances. While hourly snapshots track the lowest daily balance, leveraged positions face a 60% haircut when funded by other stablecoins like USDT, USDC, or FDUSD. Furthermore, the campaign remains geographically restricted, excluding users in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, and several jurisdictions within the European Economic Area. These limitations are particularly pertinent as Binance navigates evolving regulatory frameworks, including the European Union's MiCA requirements regarding stablecoin access.

Ripple’s latest transparency report indicates that RLUSD currently maintains a circulating supply of approximately $1.59 billion, backed by $1.70 billion in reserve assets. As the exchange continues to integrate RLUSD across its trading ecosystem, the success of these incentives will be measured by the effective annualized percentage rate, which saw significant volatility during the previous campaign, dropping from 22.25% in the first week to 7.69% by the final period.
