JPMorgan Recruits Citigroup’s Dan McDow to Lead East Coast Tech Banking

McDow will relocate to New York later this year, concluding a four-year tenure as Citi’s global head of software investment banking. His transition follows a two-decade career defined by long-standing roles at Credit Suisse. Chris Grose and Greg Mendelson, global co-heads of technology investment banking at JPMorgan, announced the appointment as the firm seeks to capitalize on recovering software valuations and the broader expansion of the AI ecosystem.

The hire follows last week’s announcement that David Fishman will join from Bank of America to lead North American technology mergers and acquisitions. As these new leaders integrate into the firm, current head of technology M&A Vineet Seth will transition to vice chair of investment banking. Both Fishman and Seth are slated to join JPMorgan’s newly established Technology M&A Leadership and Advisory Council, signaling a concentrated effort to dominate the competitive tech advisory landscape.
