MEXC Debuts USDT Visa Card with Apple Pay Integration

MEXC has introduced a virtual Visa card allowing users to spend USDT directly through mobile payment platforms like Apple Pay and Google Pay. The rollout arrives as monthly crypto-linked card spending surges across the industry, reaching $759 million in July—a significant jump from $306 million during the same period last year.

The new Global Card offers a tiered cashback program that rewards users with between 4% and 10% in USDT, depending on their platform activity and VVIP status. High-level Elite users can earn up to 800 USDT in monthly rewards. To encourage adoption, MEXC has waived all issuance, annual, and top-up fees, with purchase fees also suspended until September 30. Following the promotional period, a 1% purchase fee will apply.

Beyond daily spending, the exchange is pairing the card with a flexible savings product. Cardholders can subscribe USDT to the MEXC Earn program to generate annualized returns of up to 7%. CEO Vugar Usi noted that the initiative aims to bridge the gap between digital asset management and everyday transactions, allowing users to keep funds in crypto until the moment of payment.

Despite the global rollout, the card remains inaccessible to residents of several major markets, including the United States, China, and Russia. Interested applicants must complete advanced identity verification to secure a virtual card, which supports transaction limits of up to 80,000 USDT per purchase and a daily ceiling of 1 million USDT. As of now, the product operates independently of the exchange's existing regional card offerings.
