The Tokyo-listed firm saw its quarterly revenue rise to 3.61 billion yen, up from 3.01 billion yen in the previous year. This revenue growth translated into stronger margins, as operating profit reached 1.03 billion yen, a sharp increase from the 592 million yen recorded in the prior first quarter. Pretax profit followed a similar upward trajectory, landing at 1.02 billion yen against 595 million yen previously.
Shareholders saw earnings per share climb to 35.50 yen, compared to 20.02 yen in the prior year. Diluted earnings per share were also reported higher at 35.46 yen, up from 19.99 yen.
