The integration of UroAmp targets the non-muscle invasive bladder cancer market, where the technology is already validated for therapy-response monitoring and post-treatment surveillance. By bringing this platform in-house, Veracyte aims to broaden its application to include intravesical maintenance therapy monitoring and long-term surveillance for patients treated with curative intent.

Management expects to debut an initial test designed to identify which patients are most likely to respond to Bacillus Calmette-Guerin induction therapy. Commercial availability for this diagnostic tool is slated for late 2028. Despite the acquisition, the company confirmed that Convergent’s ongoing operating expenses remain within existing financial guidance, necessitating no immediate adjustments to the firm's outlook.
