The upcoming 170-day campaign is slated for 2027, serving as a direct extension of the Deepwater Conqueror rig's current commitments in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. According to the company, the contract is expected to add $80 million to its existing backlog, a figure that excludes potential revenue from mobilization, demobilization, and auxiliary services.
Transocean currently manages a fleet of 27 mobile offshore drilling units. This portfolio includes 20 ultra-deepwater floaters and seven units specifically designed for harsh environments, reinforcing the firm's role as a major player in deepwater exploration.
