Deliveries for the units are scheduled to commence between 2027 and 2028. To further align the partnership, Generac is providing Amazon with warrants to purchase up to 1.69 million shares at a price of $200.90 each. Under the terms of the agreement, 308,000 of these warrants vest immediately, while the remainder will be released in tranches linked to total payments made for the equipment.
Investors responded sharply to the news, driving Generac shares up 36% to $238.88 during after-hours trading. This deal underscores the growing necessity for robust, independent power solutions as tech giants grapple with the intensifying energy requirements of modern data architecture.
