The incentive campaign rewards users who maintain at least $100 in confidential balances and demonstrate consistent swap activity. To prevent whale dominance, the protocol has implemented a 2% cap on individual wallet allocations. These milestone tokens remain locked until the three-day volume-weighted average price (VWAP) of NEAR hits $3.33, at which point they become convertible.
Confidential Intents routes transactions through a private shard, shielding users from public mempool exposure, front-running, and strategy leakage. Unlike zero-knowledge systems that often demand heavy computational overhead, this architecture provides privacy for high-volume swaps across more than 30 connected blockchains. Alex Shevchenko, general manager of NEAR Intents, noted that the rapid growth reflects a broader industry pivot where privacy is increasingly viewed as a functional necessity rather than an optional layer.
Beyond simple asset transfers, the infrastructure serves as a backbone for autonomous AI agents requiring private financial execution. By abstracting the complexity of cross-chain routing, the system allows agents to manage payments and trades without exposing sensitive transaction data. This privacy-first approach complements NEAR's existing AI initiatives, which include staking-based compute credits and automated data anonymization for prompts sent to external models.
