The lawsuit, filed on September 17, names Vivek Kumar Sen and Zamyang Sherpa as key figures behind a network of six primary accounts—including @Vivek4real_ and @Bitcoin_Teddy—that allegedly used bot-like behavior to inflate payouts. According to the court filing, the group engaged in "coordinated revenue sharing fraud" by posting near-identical content and cross-promoting one another’s activity within seconds to artificially boost engagement metrics.
X claims that between August 2023 and February 2026, the defendants exploited the platform’s monetization rules, which rewarded creators based on organic reach. The company alleges the network used overlapping devices, cookies, and mismatched financial identifiers to conceal their operations. Beyond the £207,384 in allegedly illicit payouts, X is seeking an additional £75,000 to cover investigation and remediation costs.
While the accounts in question were suspended on August 18, the legal battle arrives as X transitions away from the disputed model. The platform shuttered its Creator Revenue Sharing program on September 7, replacing it with an "Original Content Rewards" system that explicitly excludes artificially generated impressions. As of late September, no defense filings have been made public, and the claims remain unadjudicated in the Business and Property Courts of England and Wales.
