Anchorage Digital Taps LayerZero to Bridge Federally Regulated Stablecoins

Anchorage Digital Bank has selected LayerZero as its primary interoperability partner to streamline cross-chain transfers for its suite of institutionally focused stablecoins. The collaboration, announced Sept. 21, positions Tether’s USAT as the inaugural token to utilize LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token standard for broader network connectivity.

Anchorage Digital Taps LayerZero to Bridge Federally Regulated Stablecoins

The partnership integrates LayerZero’s infrastructure into Anchorage’s regulated issuance platform, allowing stablecoins to traverse more than 170 blockchain networks. While Anchorage maintains responsibility for the bank-issued assets and regulatory compliance, LayerZero provides the messaging architecture that enables these tokens to move across Ethereum, Solana, and various EVM-compatible ecosystems. This move aims to replace fragmented liquidity pools with a unified supply model, giving issuers granular control over which chains support their tokens.

Beyond USAT, the arrangement encompasses several other stablecoins issued through the federal bank, including Western Union’s USDPT, OSL Group’s USDGO, and Falcon Finance’s fUSD. While these assets are slated for integration, the companies have yet to provide a specific deployment schedule for each. The infrastructure rollout follows a period of regulatory stabilization for Anchorage, which saw the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency terminate a long-standing consent order in August 2025 and lift its original operating agreement in early 2026. As the bank continues to manage reserve attestations for its stablecoin portfolio, the LayerZero integration marks a shift toward making regulated digital dollars more accessible across decentralized finance environments.
