Upbit’s decision to flag SOPH covers its KRW, BTC, and USDT markets, effective as of 3:00 p.m. KST on September 22. The exchange cited deficiencies in how the project manages circulation plans and procedural transparency, warning that a failure to rectify these issues could lead to a full delisting. Deposits for the token have been suspended during the review period, which is scheduled to conclude between October 12 and 16. Bithumb has also initiated a similar review of the asset, marking a coordinated wave of scrutiny from South Korean platforms.
Separately, Binance is narrowing its USDC market offerings. The exchange will terminate trading for AIXBT/USDC, DOLO/USDC, ENJ/USDC, HUMA/USDC, SXT/USDC, TNSR/USDC, and TURTLE/USDC at 03:00 UTC on September 25. Unlike a total delisting, this move affects only specific order books; the underlying assets remain accessible through other trading pairs on the platform. Binance noted that several of these markets, including AIXBT/USDC and SXT/USDC, had already been removed from margin support earlier this month as part of a broader effort to cull underperforming liquidity pools.
