The figures come from the exchange's 47th consecutive proof-of-reserves report, which tracks primary assets across 22 different coins. Beyond Bitcoin, user balances for Ether saw a 3.49% increase to 1.786 million ETH, while USDT holdings grew by 4.62% to 8.49 billion tokens. Despite the influx of customer assets, OKX reported that all major holdings remained backed at or above a 1:1 ratio, with USDT reserves covering 105% of account liabilities.
OKX utilizes zk-STARK technology to allow users to verify their individual inclusion in these reports without compromising private account information. The process combines zero-knowledge proofs with public wallet addresses, enabling independent auditing of the exchange's on-chain holdings. While these snapshots offer transparency regarding asset coverage, they remain point-in-time assessments that do not account for off-chain debts or broader corporate obligations. The exchange currently lists $27.4 billion in primary assets, providing a recurring look at liquidity levels as market conditions fluctuate.
