This uptick in sales translated into higher core profitability, with operating profit climbing to 8.67 billion yen from 7.67 billion yen.
Pretax profit also followed the upward trend, hitting 9.73 billion yen compared to the previous year's 8.61 billion yen. Shareholders saw a direct impact from these gains, as earnings per share rose to 107.13 yen, up from 80.49 yen. These figures were prepared in accordance with Japanese accounting standards.
