LayerZero rallies as ZRO nears key $2.50 resistance level

LayerZero’s native token, ZRO, surged to $2.37 on October 12, marking a 15% daily gain and a 24% increase over the past week. As trading volume swells to $158 million, the asset is testing critical resistance levels while analysts weigh the protocol's recent security integrations against potential market volatility.

LayerZero rallies as ZRO nears key $2.50 resistance level

The recent price action follows a steady recovery from August lows of $0.75, though the token remains roughly 68% below its all-time high of $7.47. Market data indicates that ZRO is currently trading near the upper Bollinger Band, a technical position that often signals heightened volatility. Analyst Crypto With Gopal noted that the token is forming a rising wedge on the daily chart, warning that while the trend is currently bullish, a failure to break decisively above $2.50 could risk a pullback toward the $2.00 support level.

Beyond technical indicators, LayerZero has bolstered its infrastructure with the October 8 launch of Bridge Sentinel, a security tool developed with Blockaid to screen cross-chain messages for malicious activity. This focus on institutional-grade security aligns with the protocol’s broader interoperability goals, which recently saw Anchorage Digital select LayerZero as a partner for bank-issued stablecoins. As the ecosystem matures, the company is also winding down legacy operations, including the December 15 deadline for converting Stargate (STG) tokens into ZRO, as it shifts focus toward its V2 infrastructure and expanded bug bounty programs.
