A 15.6 percent decline in net profit marked the first half of the fiscal year for Create Restaurants Holdings, as the Japanese operator recorded 2.70 billion yen in earnings compared to 3.20 billion yen during the same period last year, according to the company's latest financial report.

The Tokyo-listed firm, which operates under the 3387.TO ticker, saw its revenue climb to 86.09 billion yen for the six months ending August 31, up from 83.20 billion yen a year earlier. Despite this growth in top-line figures, profitability faced significant pressure. Operating profit fell to 4.12 billion yen from the previous year’s 4.94 billion yen, while pretax profit dropped to 3.76 billion yen from 5.13 billion yen.

Diluted earnings per share reached 6.26 yen, down from 7.59 yen in the prior period. These results were prepared in accordance with IFRS accounting standards.
