The company’s performance is underpinned by a significant recovery in downstream sectors, with Refining & Chemicals cash flow projected to climb by $2 billion compared to the second quarter. This growth stems from a 10% increase in refining throughput, allowing the firm to capitalize on historically high European margins. Simultaneously, the Integrated LNG segment is benefiting from a 20% jump in average prices and strong trading activity, both buoyed by supply concerns linked to the conflict in the Strait of Hormuz.
Production growth remains a central theme, with output expected to exceed the annual 3% guidance, rising by more than 4% when excluding the impacts of Middle Eastern volatility. These operational gains are complemented by a forecasted $3 billion positive working capital contribution. Additionally, the integration of TTEP, a joint venture between EPH and TotalEnergies, is set to provide a notable boost to the Integrated Power division, with anticipated cash flow reaching between $750 and $800 million for the quarter.
