The objections, disclosed by OKXICE in an October 15 filing, target the firm's proposed Tokenized Securities Venue (TSV). In addition to Broadcom and Verizon, the list of dissenting issuers includes CoreWeave, UnitedHealth Group, Cerebras Systems, AppLovin, Applied Digital, Rocket Lab, and Applied Optoelectronics. These companies were initially earmarked for the platform’s launch, which aimed to facilitate trading via Uniswap v4 liquidity pools on the XLayer blockchain.
While the filings do not detail specific grievances for every issuer, industry reports suggest broad concerns regarding market liquidity, potential price volatility, and the risk that investors might mistake tokenized assets for official company-backed products. The SEC’s September 17 order grants issuers a 30-day window to reject such arrangements, provided the tokenization is managed by an unaffiliated third party. This regulatory framework requires that tokenized shares maintain rights equivalent to traditional equities, including voting power and dividend eligibility.
OKXICE, a Texas-based collaboration between Intercontinental Exchange Holdings and an OKX affiliate, has not yet announced a firm launch date for the platform. The venture remains subject to strict volume caps and security limitations imposed by the SEC. Under current rules, the rejection by these nine companies removes their specific stocks from the venue’s initial offering lineup, though it does not preclude those same shares from being tokenized through other, separate arrangements.
