Robinhood Chain Hits $1.14B TVL as Morpho Adds Stock-Token Lending

Robinhood Chain has surged to $1.14 billion in total value locked, marking a significant milestone as the platform integrates with the Morpho lending protocol. Eligible users can now leverage their Stock Tokens as collateral to secure stablecoin loans, expanding the utility of Robinhood's tokenized equity offerings within the decentralized finance ecosystem.

The integration allows users to pledge tokenized assets—such as those tracking NVDA, GOOGL, and AAPL—against stablecoin borrowing markets. While the network shows $1.079 billion in stablecoin market capitalization, led largely by USDG, the Morpho deployment itself records roughly $1.10 billion in deposits. These markets operate with specific liquidation thresholds, such as 62.5% for equity-backed positions, managed through Chainlink price feeds that align with traditional market hours.

Robinhood’s developer documentation clarifies that these Stock Tokens function as debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, providing economic exposure without granting direct ownership of the underlying shares. Although onchain trading remains active around the clock, price feeds and minting capabilities are tethered to a Monday-through-Saturday schedule. US persons remain strictly excluded from accessing these tokens, consistent with the company's broader regulatory compliance framework. As the network matures, oversight of vault parameters and risk boundaries for the program has been assigned to Steakhouse Financial.
