The company reported a quarterly profit of $22.7 million, or 86 cents per share, doubling the $11.3 million, or 43 cents per share, recorded during the same period last year. Revenue reached $193.3 million, a 12% year-over-year increase that comfortably outpaced the $181.6 million consensus estimate from FactSet analysts. Management attributed this momentum to a combination of higher sales volume and strategic price adjustments implemented earlier in the year.
Beyond the earnings beat, Gorman-Rupp maintained its commitment to shareholder returns by raising its quarterly dividend by 5.3%. The payout increase to 20 cents per share marks the 54th consecutive year the company has hiked its dividend, reinforcing its position as a long-term fixture for income-focused investors. Adjusted earnings of 86 cents per share also surpassed the 70-cent forecast set by Wall Street analysts.
