Global sales climbed 8% to $4.59 billion, bolstered by a 3% increase in cement volumes, which reached 11.5 million metric tons. While aggregates and ready-mix concrete volumes saw slight declines of 3% and 2% respectively, profitability metrics remained firm. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 12% to $990 million, while operating profit hit $652 million.
Strategic divestments continue to play a role in the company's financial evolution. Under the Project Cutting Edge initiative, Cemex has secured over $200 million in asset sales since last year, funds the firm intends to recycle into higher-yield investment opportunities. Regional performance underscored this momentum: Mexico saw a 16% sales increase fueled by rural infrastructure and social housing programs. In the U.S., a 5% sales gain reflected growing construction demand tied specifically to the energy sector and AI-related infrastructure projects.
