Securitize Adds Stellar to Institutional Tokenization Platform

Securitize is expanding its multichain infrastructure by integrating the Stellar network, marking the 17th blockchain to join its ecosystem. Unveiled at the Meridian 2026 conference in Lisbon, the partnership aims to provide institutional asset managers with additional options for issuing and administering regulated financial products on-chain.

The agreement allows asset managers to leverage Securitize’s existing brokerage, transfer agency, and advisory services while utilizing Stellar’s technical framework. While Stellar has emerged as a significant hub for real-world assets—with market value exceeding $3 billion as of July—the current announcement remains focused on infrastructure rather than specific product launches. Carlos Domingo, CEO of Securitize, noted that the integration aligns with the firm’s strategy to offer flexibility to clients, though no timeline for deployment or specific institutional partners have been disclosed.

Stellar already hosts notable financial products, such as Franklin Templeton’s U.S. Government Money Fund, which has operated on the network since 2021. Denelle Dixon, CEO of the Stellar Development Foundation, emphasized that the collaboration will further institutional adoption by utilizing Stellar’s native support for asset controls, including identity verification and transfer restrictions. Securitize, which reported $5 billion in tokenized securities across its platform by the end of September, continues to expand its reach across various networks, including recent initiatives involving Solana, Avalanche, and Ethereum.
