The Japanese utility company generated 424.69 billion yen in revenue for the six-month period, up from 403.18 billion yen a year earlier. However, the rise in top-line figures failed to translate into earnings growth as operating margins tightened. Operating profit dropped significantly to 41.77 billion yen, down from 66.55 billion yen in 2025.
Pretax profit followed a similar downward trajectory, settling at 42.51 billion yen compared to 65.68 billion yen in the previous year. Consequently, earnings per share for the period stood at 150.01 yen, a notable decrease from the 230.47 yen recorded in the first half of 2025. These results reflect performance under Japanese accounting standards.
