Frontrun Pro bids $50,000 for struggling Blast network

Crypto trading platform Frontrun.pro has publicly approached the Blast team with an acquisition proposal, opening negotiations with a $50,000 offer. The bid arrives as Blast moves to wind down operations, citing an inability to sustain the Layer 2 network's infrastructure costs against its current revenue generation.

The proposal, posted to X on October 29, claims that Frontrun has a dedicated team and unidentified investors prepared to revitalize the blockchain. Despite these assertions, the offer remains sparse on structural details. Frontrun provided no formal valuation, payment schedule, or technical roadmap for improving the network, leaving it unclear if the $50,000 constitutes a deposit or the entirety of the proposed purchase price.

Blast, founded by Blur co-founder Tieshun Roquerre, has been in the process of shutting down since early October. The team previously determined that maintaining the network was no longer economically viable, prompting a directive for users to migrate assets back to the Ethereum mainnet. While the platform’s status page currently lists its infrastructure as operational, the project faces a significant transition as the withdrawal deadlines set by the developers pass. As of now, the Blast team has not publicly responded to the acquisition overture.
