The company’s net income from continuing operations reached $226 million, marking a 5% increase over the previous year. While adjusted EBITDA jumped 85% to $317 million, the core reserve income—historically a primary revenue driver—dipped 8% to $658 million as asset returns declined by 61 basis points. The ARC token presale effectively bridged this gap, contributing roughly 21% of total quarterly revenue and offsetting the lower yield from USDC backing assets.
Circle’s expansion efforts remain aggressive, headlined by the September 16 launch of the Arc mainnet. The platform, designed for institutional financial applications, debuted with 11 validators and over 100 ecosystem builders. Alongside this technical rollout, the Circle Payments Network saw its annualized transaction volume swell to $41.3 billion, nearly triple the rate reported just three months prior. To accelerate its cross-border capabilities, the firm reaffirmed its $400 million deal to acquire Singapore-based Tazapay, a move expected to close in 2027.
Despite these growth markers, the company is recalibrating its internal resources. Circle disclosed a 5% workforce reduction during the quarter, incurring $9.15 million in restructuring costs to better align with its strategic priorities. Meanwhile, USDC maintains a 27% market share, with on-chain transaction volume climbing 49% to $13.9 trillion. Bolstering its market position, Binance recently finalized a $100 million equity investment, reinforcing a five-year partnership aimed at deepening USDC integration across its exchange.
