Dropbox Revenue Rises 0.5% as Paying Users Increase

Dropbox’s paying-user base grew to 18.2 million in the third quarter, from 18.07 million a year earlier, while revenue edged up 0.5% to $637.3 million. The revenue figure topped analysts’ $629.6 million estimate, according to FactSet.

Net income fell to $116.1 million from $123.8 million in the year-earlier quarter. Earnings per share, however, rose to 52 cents from 47 cents.

Adjusted earnings were 88 cents a share, beating the 73 cents analysts polled by FactSet had expected.
