Ushio Inc. reported net profit of ¥5.37 billion for the half-year ended September 30, compared with ¥240 million in the same period a year earlier, under Japanese accounting standards.

Ushio’s Half-Year Net Profit Rises to ¥5.37 Billion

Revenue increased to ¥103.54 billion from ¥81.43 billion. Operating profit rose to ¥9.79 billion, against ¥4.01 billion a year earlier, while pretax profit reached ¥9.67 billion, up from ¥5.03 billion.

Earnings per share were ¥67.59, compared with ¥2.77 in the year-earlier period.
