The Japanese company recorded an operating loss of ¥568 million, against ¥475 million in the prior-year period. Its pretax loss widened to ¥572 million from ¥493 million.

Loss per share narrowed to ¥1.42 from ¥1.89. The results are based on Japanese accounting standards.
