Tesla plans to scale back Cybertruck production at its Texas gigafactory next year to make room for more Cybercab manufacturing, Chief Executive Elon Musk said Friday. The move comes as the stainless-steel pickup faces slow demand and the company shifts its focus toward autonomous vehicles and robots.
Musk announced the plan in a post on X, saying Tesla would “make room” for increased production of its self-driving Cybercab.
The company has also discontinued its luxury Model S and Model X vehicles earlier this year, according to the source report.
