SAP Earnings Surge as Cloud Sales Drive Third-Quarter Growth

German software giant SAP reported a 13% jump in total revenue to 10.27 billion euros for the third quarter, fueled by a robust 26% expansion in its cloud business. With net income climbing to 2.27 billion euros, the company is now positioning its full-year cloud performance toward the top of previous forecasts.

SAP Earnings Surge as Cloud Sales Drive Third-Quarter Growth

The company’s non-IFRS operating profit rose to 2.93 billion euros, up from 2.49 billion euros in the same period last year. While these results broadly align with market expectations—analysts had projected 10.12 billion euros in revenue and 2.94 billion euros in operating profit—the consistent double-digit growth in cloud sales underscores the firm’s successful pivot toward subscription-based services. SAP continues to rely on non-IFRS figures for investor reporting, stripping out costs related to acquisitions and restructuring to provide a clearer view of underlying performance.

Looking ahead to the remainder of the year, SAP reaffirmed its guidance for cloud revenue to reach the high end of the 25.8 billion to 26.2 billion euro range. The company also maintained its forecast for non-IFRS operating profit between 11.8 billion and 12.2 billion euros, alongside a projected free cash flow of approximately 10 billion euros.
